Netflix recently released the official trailer and poster for its new action thriller, Gunpowder Milkshake, and it looks AMAZING! The film comes from director Navot Papushado and includes a very talented cast that includes Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh, Angela Bassett, and Paul Giamatti. It hits select theaters and will be available to stream on Netflix starting on July 14.
The official synopsis reads: “When an assassin veers off mission to rescue a child, she triggers a war with a powerful crime syndicate — and reunites a gun-wielding sisterhood. These three generations of women must now learn to trust each other, stand up to The Firm and their army of henchmen, and raise hell against those who could take everything from them.”

This isn’t Gillian’s first time bringing such a strong female character to life. She’s known for her roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Nebula and the Jumanji films as Ruby Roundhouse. Headey can be recognized from her time in the iconic HBO series, "Game of Thrones", which recently ended in 2019 after 8 seasons.
Carla Gugino was part of Netflix’s hit series "The Haunting of Hill House" and "The Haunting of Bly Manor", which is a must-see for all horror fans. Michelle Yeo is known for action films Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Tomorrow Never Dies but can also be recognized from her role in Crazy Rich Asians. Angela Bassett has so many notable projects and roles, such as Fox’s "911" and Marvel’s Black Panther. The film also features young star-on-the-rise Chloe Coleman, whom we loved in last year's action-comedy My Spy with Dave Bautista and who will soon appear in the upcoming Adam Driver sci-fi thriller 65.
