MONDAY MUSIC RECAP: Ariana Grande, HAIM, Claudia Oshry, and Angel Olsen!

HAIM – “Summer Girl”

I was probably most excited for this song to be released this week, and you’ll understand why when you listen to it. HAIM returns to the music scene with a slow, yet uplifting song. “Summer Girl” was actually written when Danielle Haim’s boyfriend (and the band’s producer) learned he had cancer. Danielle wrote the song inspired by bringing a light into his life; she wanted to be his “summer girl”. This is definitely a favorite of mine this week, and I suggest you check it out as well.
