LeBron James's Taco Tuesday Is Our New Favorite Tuesday Tradition!

Today may just be a regular Tuesday to some, but in our world, it’s #TacoTuesday and that is worth some major celebrating thanks to LeBron James! In addition to being the highest-scoring player to ever step foot on the basketball court, the NBA veteran is the leading Taco Tuesday enthusiast in the game too! Of course, we loved tacos before, but with LeBron as our taco team hype man… every Tuesday is a win!

If you’re wondering where all the taco craze began, let us fill you in. LeBron started posting his extremely turnt Taco Tuesdays with his family and close friends to social media around the summertime and has been going strong ever since. Each video is led by the L.A. Laker, who asks every member of his family and each person in attendance what day it is, followed by each of them screaming “Taco Tuesday!” to the camera. 

With the exception of his three kids (LeBron Jr, Bryce, and Zhuri), most taco exclamations in his videos pretty much pale in comparison to Big LeBron’s. But the most important part: he still gets everyone to wear his customized Taco Tuesday T-shirts. 

And if that’s not enough for you, trust me when I say that LeBron has way more than just his family and friends screaming Taco Tuesday… try the entire Staples Center.

Hey, the man loves his tacos.

But just how much, you ask? Well, enough to attempt to get the phrase “Taco Tuesday” trademarked. Although the application for the trademark was denied, the business move makes us wonder what he was planning to do with it. The pro-baller certainly isn’t limited to the basketball realm, with ownership over several successful businesses that include a stake in the relatively new pizza chain, Blaze Pizza. 

A whole restaurant dedicated to Taco Tuesday, perhaps? That would be the Taco Tuesday of our dreams! But for now, we’ll take the one every Tuesday night at LeBron James's kitchen table.
