ICYMI: Calling All Marshmallows, Veronica Mars Is Back!
Great news, fellow Marshmallows -- We are headed back to Neptune for the Summer! Hulu has released the first trailer for its reboot of the cult show, "Veronica Mars", and all our favorite faces are back!
Season 4 picks up almost 10 years after the show was last on air, but thankfully time hasn’t changed too much. The new trailer ensures Veronica (Kristen Bell) and the rest of the Neptune gang are still as sarcastic and witty as ever, but what exactly are they all up to now? It looks like Veronica finally came home after her years away and is back working alongside her father as a private detective, and thank goodness for that because there are some shady things going on in Spring Break Central.
When a series of bombings starts wreaking havoc on Neptune, Veronica is called in by one of the victim's families to find out who could be behind all the devastation. The investigation leads us to a few new faces (and big names – J.K. Simmons and Patton Oswalt, to name a couple) who seem to know something about the attacks. There also seems to be a touch of class warfare going on, but we’ll leave that to Veronica to figure out.
On top of the return of our favorite P.I., the trailer also gifts us with a glimpse of a ton of other familiar faces. We’ve got Logan (Jason Dohring) brooding about town, Veronica’s bff Wallace (Percy Daggs III) is on the scene, and rich kid Dick Casablancas (Ryan Hansen) is still up to his frat boy antics. The gang's all here!
Hulu gave the new series the go-ahead last year, announcing that this 4th season would consist of 8 episodes and will be premiering on July 26. And in case you’re having any trouble remembering where we left off in Neptune, Hulu is also making the first 3 seasons of 'Veronica Mars" available to stream starting July 4. Buckle up, Marshmallows, we’re in for a wild ride!!
