The Wilson Era
This season will take place during the years covering 1964-1976, in which Harold Wilson was Prime Minister for a majority of the time, and is known as the Wilson Era. A lot of exciting things happened within this time period, all of which will play out during the season. Events include: the space race and Moon landing, England’s iconic 1966 World Cup victory, the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, and the Queen’s 1972 state visit to France which featured a bomb scare. Not to mention the rise of the British superpower, The Beatles (who named-dropped Prime Minister Wilson in their song "Taxman").
