One word: WOW. “Euphoria” Season 2, Episode 4 premiered last night on HBO, and to say we are confused would be an understatement. Don’t get me wrong, the episode was phenomenal; it just left the audience with a lot of questions! After this episode, it is impossible for characters to go back to their lives before this episode because such monumental things happened. But enough teasing, let’s get into it! here are the highlights from last night's “Euphoria” episode!

1. Betrayal

This episode started off with a bang -- literally and figuratively. We see Jules (Hunter Schafer) and Elliot (Dominic Fike) bonding as friends, and then all of a sudden, they take it a step further than just friendship... I was shocked how could they both do this to Rue?! Jules was supposed to be Rue’s girlfriend and Elliot her best friend. Let’s just say a lot of respect was lost and I am not sure how this trio is going to continue their friendship!

2. Living the Dream

Once again, Maddy (Alexa Demie) is serving looks! And champagne?! Nate (Jacob Elordi) showed up at the house where she was babysitting, and Maddy was all dressed up in a fabulous green nightgown that one can assume she took from Theo’s mom’s closet. Maddy poured herself and Nate glasses of Veuve Clicquot, which one can assume she also stole from Theo’s parents, considering it costs $65 a bottle. Nate points out how at home Maddy looks there, which she obviously is. However, I have the feeling it's only a matter of time before she gets busted for "borrowing" her employers' things...

3. Auditions

One of the best scenes from the whole episode is where we have Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) screaming at Lexi (Maude Apatow), which then switches to the auditions for Lexi’s play with the exact same dialogue, and it just goes back and forth. Not only was this scene hysterical, but it showed what it can be like living in such close proximity to your sister.

4. Party Foul

I lied -- the real best scene of this episode happens at Maddy’s birthday party, which Cassie threw for her. At the party, Maddy, Kat (Barbie Ferreira), Nate, and Cassie are all chilling in the hot tub when Nate and Maddy start fighting about why they aren’t together. Maddy calls Nate out on how he says he wants a future with her then acts like this, and Cassie is disgusted and hurt at the thought of Nate saying these things, so she starts to puke in the hot tub. Like everywhere and on everyone. It was disgusting but hilarious.

5. Memory Lane

Cal (Eric Dane) decided to take a trip down ol' Memory Lane again this episode, and it resulted in him leaving his family. In this episode, we see Cal very lost -- he goes to his garage, and low and behold he still has the Jeep that he and Derek (Henry Eikenberry) used to drive around in. He takes the Jeep to the bar where he and Derek shared their first kiss. When he arrives home, he is a mess and tells his family that he’s gay and that marrying his wife Marsha was his biggest mistake. He then grabs a family photo from the wall and leaves, making viewers wonder if this is the last time we will see Cal.

6. Labrinth

Labrinth is a singer-songwriter who has many songs featured on the show, but in last night's episode, he actually made an appearance! He was singing in a church holding Rue (Zendaya) in what felt like a spirit world, leading many people to wonder if Rue is dead...

This episode kept viewers on their toes; while it was entertaining, it was also super dark and deep, leaving us with questions like, Will Elliot and Jules continue to go behind Rue’s back? Will Maddy get busted? Will she and Nate get back together? Will she find out about Cassie? Will Cal come back? And is Rue still alive?! We are dying to know the answer to all of these, and hopefully we will find out next Sunday.
