An Evening With Big Time Rush On Their 'Can’t Get Enough Tour'!

Confetti cannons, lasers, bass you can feel in your chest, and thousands of fans singing along to the music at the top of their lungs... This is what makes up the perfect concert, and Big Time Rush has nailed this combination to a level of perfection that some bands only dream of. With over 10 years of performing experience under their belts, it’s safe to say Big Time Rush knows how to put on the ultimate show for their dedicated fan base and anyone else who decides to see them for the night. We had the privilege of attending one of their amazing performances and got to catch up with the boys themselves backstage to chat about their star-studded show and why you all need to see them live in concert on their Can’t Get Enough Tour!

Walking into the tent to greet the four members of Big Time Rush was like meeting up with old friends. Kendall Schmidt glowed with adoration and first greeted us with a “Hello, darling” in a silly British accent. Although it was almost 90 degrees and incredibly humid at the outdoor venue in Virginia Beach, each member took their time to give us a sweet hug and a hello. We joked with them, saying the pressure was on to deliver an amazing performance now that we were there to watch. Logan Henderson was quick to joke back, smiling and stating, “All the shows have been good!” Touché, Logan!

After a quick photo op to remember our time together, the jokes and good times continued. James Maslow smiled wide and warmly, telling us, “You’re going to see us sweat through, like, six different T-shirts, and if that doesn’t get us a good review, I don’t know what will!”

Carlos PeñaVega continued and explained how hard the band has worked at perfecting their choreography and performance, especially for the fans. It’s no secret that most bands want to show an appreciation for their fans, but we think it’s safe to say Big Time Rush takes it to another level with the uttermost dedication and love for who they put on their show for. We got to see the band also talk to fans at their VIP meet-and-greet\ and were in awe at how each member takes their time talking to each fan and making them feel as special as possible.

As we said our goodbyes, the band told us to enjoy the show and that they hope we have an amazing time. And we definitely did! When it was time for them to go on, their show-stopping performance blew us away! The vibes were in the venue were absolutely incredible. Every single person there was jumping, dancing, or singing along. Big Time Rush sang multiple songs off each of their four albums, and everyone in the audience knew all the words, regardless of how old or new the songs were. Their harmonies were unmatched and each note sung by one member complimented the other. The dance breaks were fun and carefully choreographed, which gave the show a little extra spice and a little more swooning for the fangirls to do. We sure did!

Big Time Rush also interacted with the crowd as much as they possibly could. They came to the barricade and loved to hold hands, give hugs, and dance a little with their fans. Some lucky ones even got sweat towels, the set list, and Kendall’s guitar pick! The band even performed throughout the venue, coming off the stage and through the audience during their hit song "Windows Down". As they did this, they made sure to high-five as many people as possible, and even went up a little towards the lawn, giving those who didn’t think they’d get to interact with the band a special moment with them.

Big Time Rush also made it a point to emphasize the band playing the musical accompaniment to their songs, highlighting their talents multiple times and giving them solo time in the spotlight. Guitarist Cody Perrin, drummer Greg Garman, and bassist Vicky Warwick played with passion and a sophistication that highlighted Big Time Rush’s vocal ability and carried the show all the way through. Kendall Schmidt also joined on guitar for “Shot in the Dark”, a song that was never released but fans still love and went crazy for when it was played!

As the show came to an end, the audience was met with multiple confetti cannons and three encore songs that shook the venue with a crescendo of voices from fans singing along. It was truly magical watching Big Time Rush give a magnificent and spectacular performance to their fans that love them more than life itself. Big Time Rush truly works hard on their craft and delivering live shows at their concert tour each night that blow audiences away no matter what. We cannot wait for the next time we get to see and catch up with Big Time Rush and hope you all get a chance to see them live, as it is a truly unbelievable experience!

Kendall Schmidt also made it a point to tell us that he would be on the lookout for our review of the show. So Kendall, if you’re reading this, we want you to know that you get 5/5 stars!
