Northstar is part of the X-Men franchise and universe. He was one of the first openly gay superheroes in American comic books, and he is the first openly gay character to come out in a book published by Marvel. His superpowers include superhuman speed, flight, and the ability to project photonic energy blasts. I want to watch him kick butt in the next X-men film!
