One of the things the creators of this show were so good at was turning mundane, everyday situations into the funniest 30 minutes of television ever created. This was especially proven in "The Chinese Restaurant". In this episode, Jerry, Elaine, and George are waiting to be seated at a Chinese restaurant. We have all been in the situation where the wait to eat is too long, but for some reason we agree to it even though we are all starving. Elaine is hungry and lashing out, George is having issues with a payphone, and Jerry is struggling with a lie he told his uncle. Meanwhile, if they don’t get seated soon, they will be late for a movie, which is something we can all relate to.
