Victoria Beckham marks 9/11 with fashion show silences

Victoria Beckham paid a touching tribute to the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by holding two minute-long silences during her New York Fashion Week show.

The singer-turned-fashion designer was showcasing her latest collection at the high profile event on Sunday (11Sep11), the 10th anniversary of the atrocity.

To mark the occasion, Beckham warned guests to be prompt so she could hold two separate one-minute silences during the catwalk show.

In a post on Twitter.com after the event she posted a picture up of the New York skyline, showing beams of light to mark where the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center stood prior to the attack.

She writes alongside the image, "The powerful + beautiful Tribute in Light in honor of all those who lost their lives, we remember you."
