Usher wins restraining order against bogus wife
Usher has obtained a temporary restraining order against a fan who insists she is his wife.
According to court documents, Usher claims Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw, 26, showed up uninvited at his Georgia home on Saturday (23Jun12), pounded on his front door and demanded to be let in.
The singer called the police, who told Jones-Rakestraw to move on
and she left. But the fan returned the next day, according to
TMZ.com.
When the cops came back, the trespasser tried to convince the
officers she was Usher's wife, and had simply misplaced her
keys.
She was arrested and Usher filed for the restraining order. He is
hoping to make it more permanent at a hearing next month (Jul12),
claiming Darshelle "placed (him) in reasonable fear for his own
safety and/or the safety of his immediate family."
Meanwhile, Jones-Rakestraw posted a video on YouTube.com on
Wednesday (27Jun12), claiming Usher has been sending her cash since
last year (11), promising to make living arrangements for her. She
also alleges he promised to help with her music career.
In the video, she states, "I'm not a stalker... (Usher) has
officially slandered me and defamed my character."
