U.S. newswoman Amy Robach completes chemotherapy treatment

Actor Andrew Shue's wife, newswoman Amy Robach, is celebrating after successfully completing her final round of chemotherapy in her battle with breast cancer.

The ABC News anchor went under the knife in November (13) after a mammogram she signed up for as part of a TV piece led to her diagnosis.

She has been working throughout her treatment and on Friday (25Apr14), she announced she had finished the gruelling sessions and is now on the road to recovery.

Sharing the news in a video clip, filmed for breakfast show Good Morning America, she said, "I join the ranks of 2.8 million women who are breast-cancer survivors...

"With my eighth and final chemo complete, I will start on a new journey, helping raise awareness about early detection, and letting women everywhere know, 'You can kick cancer's butt!'"
