Tom Hanks' son wanted by police in Britain

Tom Hanks' son Chester is wanted by police in the U.K. amid allegations he trashed a hotel room.

Aspiring rapper Chester Hanks, 24, also known as Chet Haze, is accused of causing $1,920-worth of damage at the Arora International, close to Gatwick Airport in West Sussex, England, on Friday (29May15).

Police officers hope to track down Hanks to interview him about the allegations.

A police spokesman tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "A guest has caused an estimated £1,200 of damage to a hotel room. We have been given the name of the suspect, a 24-year-old man from the USA. We are working with other agencies to try to trace him so he can be interviewed."

The publication reports that Hanks has dismissed the claims as a "slanderous bold-faced lie".
