The Veronicas look to take down fur-wearing Iggy Azalea in chart battle
Singing siblings The Veronicas have taken aim at fellow Australian Iggy Azalea for wearing a fur coat in a new photo.
The newly-single Fancy star will be doing battle in the charts Down Under with Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, and MTV bosses are having fun with the spat by posting images of the two acts back to back.
And one shot, in which Iggy appears to be wearing a fur coat, has
really spiked the rivalry and prompted a response from animal
rights activists the Origliasso sisters.
Responding to the MTV 'battle' tweet, which reads, "Can Iggy take
on the twins?", they state: "We can take on anyone who thinks
skinning an animal and wearing it is 'fashion'."
Azalea can't seem to get out of the way of controversy at the
moment - she recently split from fiance Nick Young, revealing, "I
broke up with Nick because I found out he had brought other women
into our home while I was away and caught them on the security
footage."
The scandal came just months after the basketball star was caught
on camera boasting about cheating on his girlfriend.
After learning he has been inviting girls back to their Los Angeles
pad on the sly, Iggy adds, "This is just like a second shot to the
chest. And I feel like I don't even know who the hell it is I've
been loving all this time."
