Taylor Swift's paranoia about being recorded revealed in old interview

Written by . Published: July 20 2016

Taylor Swift has always had a paranoia about being secretly recorded.

The 26-year-old singer hit the headlines again when Kim Kardashian shared a video on her Snapchat that showed her husband Kanye West on the phone with Taylor, apparently getting her approval for the lyrics on his track Famous.

Following the release of the footage, Taylor released a statement insisting she was never told that Kanye was going to refer to her as a "b***h" in the song, and never gave permission for him to do so.

After Kim's Snapchat, it was claimed that Taylor is considering filing a police report as the recording of a telephone call without the permission of both parties is illegal in California. However, Kim and Kanye are said to be claiming that as the call was on speaker, there were other people listening to the call, including the a film crew and the rapper's producer Rick Rubin, and as such they did not break the law, according to TMZ.com.

Now, a radio interview that Taylor conducted with British radio station Capital FM back in February 2015, has emerged in which the Shake It Off star revealed she's always had a fear of being secretly recorded.

"I have a lot of issues with buildings like this, because I always feel like someone has bugged the room, and is either videoing me or recording me. So that’s one of my paranoias," Taylor said while discussing her most anxiety-inducing dreams.

The feud between Taylor and Kim and Kanye is one of the most talked about celebrity stories of the year. Several celebrities have come out in support of the singer, while others, including Kim's sister Khloe, have backed the reality star and her spouse for their actions.

Fans have also been divided, with those on Kimye's side taking somewhat extreme measures to get their point across.

On Wednesday (20Jul16), Taylor's entry on Wikipedia was edited, so that her birth name read: "Taylor 'People Will Side With Me If I Sue Kanye, Won't They' Alison Swift."

The introduction to Taylor's page was also altered, and read that the singer had been "dragged to the grave by successful businesswoman Kim Kardashian".

Meanwhile, a mural was painted on a wall in Melbourne, Australia, featuring Taylor's face next to the words "In loving memory of Taylor Smith 1989-2016.”

It was painted by graffiti artist Lushsux, who's previously created nude paintings of Kim. Speaking to The Vine about the artwork, Lushsux said it's "taking the p**s, business as usual", adding that putting it together took "about as long as it took Kim and Kayne to wreck Taylor in a few Snapchats".

He also commented on the misspelling of Taylor's surname, retorting: "It just came out a bit chunky, I didn’t go to art school give me a break."
