Taylor Swift launches inspirational ad campaign
Taylor Swift is using a new shoe advertising campaign to boost the self-confidence of young girls by encouraging them to embrace their differences and "be brave".
The country star has stepped up her involvement with Keds footwear, with which she has her own limited-edition sneaker, and has posed as the face of the brand's Bravehearts commercials.
In the ads, targeted at young females, and its accompanying
website, the Love Story hitmaker urges impressionable girls to:
"Try things. Say hi already. Laugh a lot. Mess up. Apologize. Mess
up again. Hug people. Take chances. Trust yourself... Be brave and
you'll have the time of your life".
She adds, "If you're lucky enough to be different from everyone
else, don't change to be the same."
Revealing her own bravest moment, Swift says, "Moving to
Nashville."
The singer convinced her family to relocate from Pennsylvania to
the country music mecca in Tennessee when she was 14 so she could
pursue her dream of a career in music.
