Snoop Lion donating money to slain girl's family
Snoop Lion has followed in fellow rapper The Game's footsteps and donated an undisclosed amount of money to the family of a six-year-old girl slain in California.
Tiana Ricks was shot and killed on Sunday (08Sep13), when two men opened fire on the family's Moreno Valley home.
Earlier this week (begs09Sep13), The Game contributed $10,000 to
Ricks' grieving relatives for the funeral services, but the money
was reportedly not enough to cover the bills, so Snoop has decided
to step in and help.
A statement released by the hip-hop icon reads, "Little
six-year-old girls are not supposed to die from a gunshot. But it
keeps happening... too many tears are being shed, too many young
lives are being cut short. We need to come together to change
this.
"Beautiful Tiana loved to play the piano - she had a whole life
ahead of her which should have been filled with love and
music."
