Shia LaBeouf warns child star to avoid booze
Shia Labeouf had a stern chat with Sia's young music video dancer Maddie Ziegler and urged her not to make the same mistakes as him if she wants to be a star.
Ziegler, 12, found fame in Sia's Chandelier video and she faces off against LaBeouf in a controversial dance sequence in the promo for the singer's latest track Elastic Heart.
The youngster has now revealed former child star LaBeouf gave her
some candid advice and warned her against drinking alcohol after
boozing threatened to destroy his Hollywood career.
She tells Elle.com, "He actually told me, he was like, 'Don't ever
drink. Don't ever do this. Don't ever do what I did'. And I was
like, 'Aw. I feel so bad!' I was just learning from him."
Ziegler goes on to reveal she felt slightly intimidated by LaBeouf,
who completed an alcohol-related rehab program last year (14), when
she saw the unusual methods he uses to get into character.
She adds, "He warms up and does all this crazy stuff before he
starts. He was, like, running around the cage, just punching it. He
was screaming. He was doing all these push-ups. Oh my God. I was
just standing there, like, 'Oh, hey!' Just trying to start a
conversation. And he kept screaming."
The video drew criticism over the contact between 28-year-old
LaBeouf and the young dance star, prompting Sia to issue an apology
to fans.
