Sean Kingston settles rape lawsuit

R&B star Sean Kingston has avoided a court showdown with a woman who accused him of raping her in a hotel room.
The Beautiful Girls hitmaker, his bodyguard and another member of his team were hit with a lawsuit from the alleged victim, who claimed the men attacked her at a party in Kingston's suite at a hotel in Seattle, Washington, in July 2010.
The case was due to reach a court in November (13) but the
23-year-old singer has managed to swerve a civil trial after both
sides agreed to settle.
According to TMZ.com, Kingston paid her "only a fraction" of the $5
million she was demanding in her lawsuit, but terms of the
settlement have not been disclosed.
A source tells the website, "Her story wasn't consistent. She told
various stories throughout her interviews with police... The
medical report had no indications of force."
Kingston was previously cleared of any wrongdoing after cops ruled
the woman was not a credible witness and there was doubt over her
version of events.
