Sarah Jessica Parker associate apologizes after shoplifting scandal
Sarah Jessica Parker's longtime make-up artist has apologized after she was caught up in a shoplifting scandal this week (12Dec12).
The Sex And The City star was boarding a plane from Norway to New York on Wednesday (12Dec12) when she found herself in the middle of a police investigation after a member of her entourage was accused of stealing a pair of sunglasses from a terminal shop.
Now Leslie Lopez, a make-up artist who has worked with Parker for
eight years, has come forward to explain just what happened at Oslo
Airport, and apologize for causing any embarrassment.
She tells the MailOnline, "I was purchasing items in a duty free
shop early yesterday at the Oslo airport and mistakenly failed to
remove a pair of sunglasses from my cart while rushing to the
gate.
"While there have been no charges against me, I am sorry for any
embarrassment this misunderstanding has caused."
Lopez, who has also done Gwyneth Paltrow's make-up, appeared on the
November (12) cover of a beauty-themed issue of The Hollywood
Reporter hugging her client Parker.
Parker, who was in Europe to co-host the annual Nobel Peace Prize
Concert with Gerard Butler, was eventually able to fly home after
Lopez paid a $1,400 fine.
