Ruby Rose debuts video that brought her and lesbian ex back together
Ruby Rose and Jess Origliasso have taken their rekindled romance to the screen by playing lovers in The Veronicas' new video.
Orange is the New Black star Ruby stepped in to direct the new promo and suggested a make-out scene with her real-life girlfriend.
In the video, the couple play lovers, whose romance is tested when
Rose's character becomes a drug addict and suffers an overdose.
There's also a bar fight scene in the video, during which Rose gets
beaten up after a local hits on her girlfriend and refuses to take
no for an answer.
Ruby and Jess were first linked back in 2008 in what was thought to
be a brief on-off relationship. Reports of a rekindled romance
began when Ruby posted photos of herself with Jess back in August
(16), after splitting from girlfriend Harley Gusman, and the singer
confirmed she and Ruby were back together earlier this month
(Nov16).
"We have been friends for eight years, a really long time, and it
was just honestly the craziest thing," The Veronicas star told Nova
FM's Kent 'Smallzy' Small. "We just reconnected over doing this
video. She wrote and directed it, and is in it with us and we just
sort of fell in love."
