Romantic rocker Geoff Tate asks his wife to remarry him
Former Queensryche frontman Geoff Tate has asked his wife of 19 years to marry him again.
The couple exchanged vows in 1996 and as it prepares to celebrate a 20th anniversary next year (16), the rocker has stunned his wife, Susan, with an online proposal.
In a post on his Facebook page, Tate wrote, "To Susan, my best
friend. Thank you for sharing my life and sticking by me through
hard work and children, motorcycles and sail boats, good friends
and false friends, true love and betrayal, long nights and long
long long long walks, big tours and small bunks, small tours in big
cars, nights alone and nights on the road, Irish everything and
Guinness hangovers, horses in Spain and dogs in bed, pug hair and
shaved heads, tulip festivals with 4 little girls, unbridled joy
and devastating heartbreak, strip mall parking lots and limousine
rides, extra work without extra credit, grocery store kisses and
ferry boat sex, Foie gras in Paris and Subway in Denver, Your
children, my children, our children, extra children, Irish children
and grandchildren.
"Will you marry me again?"
Susan was Queensryche's assistant manager from 2001 until 2005,
when she took over as the group's manager until 2012. She is
currently managing her husband's solo career.
Tate and his former bandmates parted ways following a dispute about
Susan - the Queensryche stars accused her of financial
mismanagement. The feud led to Tate getting fired. He has since
former new band Operation: Mindcrime.
