Rihanna named creative director of sock brand

Rihanna has been appointed contributing creative director of sock brand Stance.

The Stay hitmaker has signed a three-year deal with company, the official sock supplier for the National Basketball Association (NBA), to create and model collections as their 'Punk & Poet brand ambassador'.

Two limited edition designs called Murder Rih Wrote were released on the Stance website on Wednesday (15Jul15) and the first full collection will debut in the autumn (15).

Rihanna tells WWD.com, "I've had a great relationship with Stance for a long time and ‎I am happy to be working with them on such a fun and creative project."

Rihanna was named creative director of sports brand Puma last year (14) and has previously released clothing collections with British retail giant River Island.
