Rebel Wilson: 'No one in Hollywood has asked me to lose weight'
Australian actress/comedienne Rebel Wilson has never felt the pressure to lose weight in Hollywood.
The larger-than-life Pitch Perfect star is now a fashion-forward female, thanks to her new plus-size clothing line, Rebel Wilson for Torrid - and she revels in the fact she's not a stick-thin actress.
And it appears movie bosses don't want her losing weight
either.
"People say, 'Don't lose weight'," she said. "But then I guess when
you're doing movies with actresses who are super skinny and
whatever and you got to do a photo shoot side by side... then you
notice you're twice the weight they are.
"But for me, it's just about being comfortable in your own skin.
You never want to be like too unhealthy because that's bad. But you
just want to be comfortable with who you are, whatever your
size."
And don't let her size fool you into thinking she's unfit.
"I exercise like a mofo (motherf**ker)," she explained. "I do
personal training, like, five times a week. I also love playing
tennis. I'm a beast on the court. I've been playing with a lot of
retirees lately and they are very competitive but same ability
athletic-wise. They're really good."
Her fitness is a big part of what has made her a big comedy star in
Hollywood - because she can keep up with the demands on a film
set.
"When we film movies like (new film) How to Be Single, we shoot,
like, 16 hours day and you're, like, giving it all day every day,
so you really got to have that stamina."
