Plies attacked onstage by angry fan

Rapper Plies was attacked onstage during a show in Florida on Friday (03Apr15) after an angry fan took issue with the star for telling him he was getting "too close".

The Shawty MC invited some attendees at his concert in Tallahassee to join him onstage in the middle of the gig, but he called out one man for invading his personal space, telling him, "We can't be too close."

In video footage obtained by TMZ.com, the guy appears to move in for a hug, but before security can intervene, he grabs Plies by the waist and body slams him to the ground.

The male, who has yet to be identified, was subsequently removed from the venue by security guards and Plies returned to the stage to continue with the performance.

The overzealous fan later shared his side of the story in a video posted online, in which he claims he felt compelled to act because he felt disrespected.

He says, "I f**k with you bruh, that n**ga is one of my top five artists. That n**ga started talking that bulls**t. So I dropped his a** like any real n**ga would do (sic)."
