Ozzy Osbourne marks 80 days sober
Ozzy Osbourne has become a "responsible husband and father again" after reaching a major milestone in his battle with drink and drugs, according to his wife Sharon.
The Black Sabbath rocker, who battled his addictions in rehab in 2003, suffered a relapse and recently admitted he had been using alcohol and drugs for around 18 months.
Osbourne subsequently insisted he had sobered up again, and now
Sharon has confirmed her partner has hit the 80-day mark.
She tells USA Today, "He's doing incredibly well. He is. Eighty
plus days clean and sober. He's working his program rigidly. It's
amazing to see how somebody in just over 80 days can change their
life around."
The couple was rumored to be on the verge of a split before the
news came out, but Sharon insists she is delighted with the
rocker's progress.
She adds, "You know, miracles happen all the time and he has (gone
from) hating himself, from a place of despair, to being a
responsible husband and father again and it's amazing to see. I'm
very proud of him. He's a great example too for people...
Tomorrow's a new day and you start all over again... All is good
with us."
