One Direction stars meet sick kids

British pop stars One Direction made dreams come true for a group of sick children by organising a day out for them in London this week (ends28Oct12).

The boy band teamed up with the Rays of Sunshine charity, which grants the wishes of seriously and terminally ill children, to arrange a meeting with a number of kids at a London hotel on Friday (26Oct12).

The singers spent time with youngsters including burns victim Niamh Wyle, seven, Grace Millar, nine, who has undergone a liver transplant, and nine-year-old leukemia patient Eve Kelly.

Bandmember Liam Payne says, "It's such a small thing for us but the kids get so much out of it. We really love doing things like this. We leave smiling because they are always so wonderful."

His bandmate, Niall Horan, adds, "It is totally humbling to meet kids like this. And it really makes you feel good that you can do something nice for them. We've had amazing good luck and many of these children haven't. But they are always happy and we go away feeling brilliant. It's like we're giving something back."
