Miley Cyrus storms in front as Time readers vote for Person of the Year
Miley Cyrus is leading the annual Time magazine readers poll to find the Person of the Year.
The pop superstar, who turned 21 on Saturday (23Nov13), has landed almost double the votes of second placed Edward Snowden, the controversial former CIA computer boffin who hit headlines after disclosing classified documents.
Indian politician Narendra Modi is currently in third place, while
Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin, the Presidents of Syria and
Russia, respectively round out the top five.
Pakistani teen activist Malala Yousafzai, Angelina Jolie, Pope
Francis, basketball star LeBron James and President Barack Obama
have also picked up votes.
Time's editors' official Person of the Year will be announced on 11
December (13). Voting for the readers' choice ends on 4 December
(13).
