Miley Cyrus: 'Alcohol is more dangerous than weed'
Former child star Miley Cyrus has defended her decision to smoke weed, insisting it is far less dangerous than alcohol.
The singer/actress, who shot to fame as Disney's Hannah Montana, landed in hot water in 2010 when she was caught on film allegedly smoking pot from a bong.
She has also recently joined cannabis fan Snoop Dogg in the studio
for a track called Ashtrays and Heartbreak, and has now opened up
on her feelings on using the drug.
In a candid new interview with Rolling Stone, she was asked if she
is a "stoner", and the 20 year old replied, "You can't ask someone
that and expect them to say yes. I did a song with Snoop Dogg
called Ashtrays and Heartbreak, so people can put it together for
themselves.
"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana. People can
be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care. I've seen a lot of
people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen
with weed.
"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous
things... And it's legal in the state of California, so I'm happy
to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to
be."
