Michelle Williams hosts New York fundraiser
Michelle Williams and R+B singer John Legend were among the artists who took to the stage in New York City on Wednesday (30May12) to raise cash for charity.
Former Destiny's Child star Williams pulled double duty as performer and host of the Clarins Million Meals Concert for FEED, which also featured a performance from British pop star Natasha Bedingfield and a speech by former President Bill Clinton.
The Big Apple event was organised with the goal of pulling in
enough cash in one evening to provide one million school meals to
needy kids around the world - and Williams was thrilled to be
involved.
Taking to her Twitter.com page after wrapping up the gig, she
wrote, "Tonight was a success (at) Clarins Million Meals for FEED!
I was absolutely honored (sic) to host and perform. Bill Clinton
was our speaker. John Legend, Natasha Bedingfield, (German pianist)
Christoph Eschenbach... too many to name... unforgettable
evening."
