Megan Fox: 'You can be whatever you want to be in my house'
Megan Fox's three-year-old son Noah likes to wear dresses.
The actress is mother to two boys with her estranged husband Brian Austin Green - Noah and two-year-old Bodhi.
Megan grew up in a strict Pentecostal household so is determined to
ensure her boys have a different, more free, upbringing, and as
such she doesn't give them a set of rules to live by.
"I grew up in a pentecostal household, it's Southern Christian,"
she explained during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday
night (17Feb16). "The women in the church are only allowed to wear
pants, you can't wear dresses, you can't wear make-up or jewellery,
so it's a really sort of oppressive environment to grow up in. But
I sort of lean left of that now.
"Noah wears dresses so there are no rules - you can be whatever you
want to be in my house!"
Megan is someone who believes in the spiritual side of life and
regards the use of astrology as incredibly important. When she was
pregnant with both her boys she was given predictions about their
paths in life and that's something she truly believes.
"They informed me when I was pregnant with them (that they were
bohemian revolutionaries)," Megan explained. "They tell you who
they are when you're pregnant if you're open to hearing those sorts
of things.
"I don't think someone who's going to be a financial planner is
going to come to me as a mother. I think they are all going to me
sort of more artistic and rebellious types."
The stunning actress has had something of a break from the acting
industry since welcoming her two boys into the world. However, she
can soon be seen on television screens after stepping in for Zooey
Deschanel on hit show New Girl while the actress is on maternity
leave.
"They asked me to come in for a few episodes and I don't do a lot
of TV so I was a bit sceptical of why they would ask me to do this,
this is a comedy and I'm not necessarily associated with my comedic
stylings so I wanted to know what it was all about," she said. "So
they pitched it to m and I thought it was really funny. And I
watched it and I think the show's hysterical and everybody on it is
really talented."
