Max George in elocution classes to improve chances of acting jobs
British pop star Max George is taking elocution lessons in an attempt to improve his chances of landing an acting job.
The singer, who grew up in Manchester in the north of England, is hoping to make a career move into acting since his band The Wanted announced plans to go on hiatus.
George is now taking classes to improve his speech as he worries
casting directors find it difficult to understand his accent.
He tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "I'm having elocution
lessons, since they can't understand me in casting interviews. I
had an acting role lined up but the filming clashed with The Wanted
tour so it didn't happen in the end."
The hitmaker also reveals fans may be able to see him acting as
early as July (14), adding, "I'm hoping people can see something
new from me next month but I don't want to say too much in case I
shoot myself in the foot with it. I am looking to relocate to L.A.
but not just yet."
