Martin Scorsese working on book magazine documentary
Hollywood director Martin Scorsese is preparing to debut a new documentary about acclaimed literary publication the New York Review of Books.
The Goodfellas filmmaker's new project tells the story behind the journal, which features discussions on art, science, politics and literature.
The film features interviews with famed contributors including
writer/filmmaker Susan Sontag, linguist Noam Chomsky and late
writer Norman Mailer.
Scorsese plans to debut the yet-to-be-titled movie at the Berlin
Film Festival in Germany in February (14), even though the
documentary is still a work in progress.
The Oscar-winning auteur has previously put together documentaries
on director Elia Kazan and late Beatles star George Harrison, while
he is also working on a film about former President Bill
Clinton.
