Mark Wahlberg forced to change church schedule to avoid aspiring screenwriters

Actor Mark Wahlberg has had to change up his church schedule after finding himself inundated with movie scripts while attending evening services.

The Fighter star is a devout Irish Catholic and sometimes even attends services twice a day, but he has had to adapt his worshipping hours to avoid causing a disturbance.

He tells talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, "The later I go in the day, the more scripts I get. And I don't go to church for scripts; I go for scripture, but not for scripts."

Wahlberg has also opened up about his religious nature in Parade magazine, insisting, "It's the most important part of my life."

He adds, "I don't try to push it on anybody and I don't try to hide it."
