Marion Cotillard learned Polish for new film

Marion Cotillard went to great lengths to perfect her Polish for new movie The Immigrant - and now she can speak the language.

The French star, who plays a struggling Polish woman in 1920s New York in the film, took an extreme course to perfect the dialogue, and she admits her studies helped inspire the character.

The La Vie En Rose star says, "I create characters that have their own approach, their own physical language and when you have a different language to learn, it somehow helps to create that."
