Mario Lopez filming wedding for TV special

Mario Lopez is set to document his upcoming trip down the aisle for a two-hour TV special.

The actor will exchange vows with dancer Courtney Mazza, the mother of his baby daughter, in the coming weeks and the intimate ceremony will be filmed by bosses at TLC for all to see on 8 December (12).

A statement from Lopez reads, "Courtney and I already feel incredibly blessed to have found each other and thank God for our beautiful daughter Gia. Our family is looking forward to celebrating our wedding later this year."

The couple became engaged over the holidays last year (11).

The new X Factor host won't be the first celebrity to film his nuptials - reality star Kim Kardashian famously tied the knot with basketball ace Kris Humphries in front of a camera crew in 2011. That union only lasted 72 days.

Lopez himself has a history of marriage bad luck - his 2004 union with Ali Landry lasted less than a month amid rumours of infidelity.
