Lindsay Lohan joins hunger fundraiser

Lindsay Lohan, Kevin Bacon and John Stamos are helping to stamp out hunger this Christmas (11) by donating to a fundraiser for the needy.

Jeff Bridges and Charlie Sheen are also participating in the Six Days of Good For Hunger campaign organised by Bacon's charitable initiative, SixDegrees.org.

The Footloose star says, "I woke up this morning and had a good meal, but millions of people didn't. We at SixDegrees.org are excited to promote Six Days of Good for Hunger to bring attention to the cause and inspire giving, especially this time of year."

The stars are also using their Facebook.com and Twitter.com pages to urge followers to support local food banks and donate to hunger organisations.
