Lena Dunham set for Planned Parenthood honor

Actress Lena Dunham is set to be honored by the Planned Parenthood group for exploring the issues facing modern women in her TV show Girls.
Dunham, the creator and star of Girls, will receive the Maggie Award for Media Excellence for promoting frank conversation about sexuality through the series, which centers around four young women living in New York City.
She will be handed the honor at the annual Planned Parenthood
dinner in Washington, D.C. on Thursday (25Apr13) and President
Barack Obama will deliver the keynote address.
The organization provides sexual and reproductive health services
to women.
