Lance Bass devastated over pet dog's death
Former 'N Sync star Lance Bass is "gutted" over the recent death of his beloved pet dog Foster.
Bass and his husband Michael Turchin share three rescue dogs together, Lily, Dingo, and Foster, the latter of whom recently passed away.
The singer took to Twitter.com on Wednesday (23Sep15) to share his
sad news, posting a photo of Turchin holding the pet pooch in his
arms.
Bass wrote, "With a heavy heart I must inform you that our baby boy
Foster has moved on to his next adventure. He was the best buddy I
ever had. Words can not describe how special this soul was. Anyone
lucky to have met him completely understands. As gutted as I am
right now, I am happy for all the times we had together and will
cherish... every day of his 13 years on this earth.
"He was my son, my bodyguard, my best friend. I'm happy he went
peacefully and thankful he was surrounded by lots of hugs and
kisses when he went. Thank you to my friends for all your love and
thoughtful words. After this night of ugly crying , I choose to
remember the great being he was and celebrate his life. No dog will
ever compare. I miss you buddy already."
He concluded, "In remembrance of Foster Shadow "Worms" Bass please
hug your pets tighter tonight, support all animal rights all over
the world , adopt, fight for our furry friends. "Don't cry because
it is over, smile because it happened" -Dr. Seuss Til we meet again
my friend."
Animal lover Bass featured Foster in advertisements for People for
the Ethical Treatment of Animals and The Shelter Pet Project.
Bass and Turchin even had their three dogs as a part of their
December, 2014 wedding, when a friend walked them down the
aisle.
