Written by . Published: January 14 2014
Pop superstar Lady Gaga's latest album Artpop will be released in China, three years after her tracks were banned in the country.
In 2011, China's Ministry of Culture officials branded Gaga's songs vulgar, placing most of her Born This Way album on a pop blacklist alongside the likes of Katy Perry and the Backstreet Boys.
However on Monday (13Jan14), Gaga took to Twitter.com to announce
that her most recent effort, which features the songs Applause and
Do What U Want featuring R. Kelly, will be made available for her
Chinese fans.
She wrote, "I'm so excited!!!! The Chinese Government Approved
ARTPOP to be released in China with all 15 songs! Next I hope I can
come to perform."
Gaga embarks on her artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball Tour in May (14).
