Khloé Kardashian: 'Music is a mood changer'
Reality star Khloé Kardashian uses music to help lift her mood if she's in a sad state of mind.
The 31-year-old has had one of the toughest years of her life, following her stepfather Bruce Jenner's transition from male to female and her estranged husband Lamar Odom's collapse in a Nevada brothel after an apparent drugs overdose in October (15). While she's happy to support the former Los Angeles Lakers star, who is well on the road to recovery, Khloé admits she still has days where she feels really down, and in a new video on her website she has shared how she chooses to deal with the blues.
"Sometimes a little bit of ice-cream helps," she admitted on Friday
(27Nov15). "But, you know what, music is a mood-changer. If I'm sad
and I'm going to listen to something sad, a love song or whatever,
I'm just gonna be sadder and cry. And sometimes you need a good cry
but you cannot sit balled up in a corner and just (say), 'Oh, woe
is me.'
"Everyone is allowed to have their day, everyone's allowed to feel
bad, but you've got to get over it. You've got to get up. Go to the
gym, get some endorphins going in you."
Khloé has transformed her figure in the last year through a
dedicated exercise and healthy eating regime, and she recently
revealed to the San Diego Union-Tribune just how much of a great
stress reliever the gym has been for her during Lamar's health
crisis, which came as the two were about to sign off on their
divorce.
"Just recently I’ve been in the hospital for almost
three-and-a-half weeks straight, and finally everyone was saying,
'Khloé, you have to get out of the hospital and do something that’s
for you,'" she said. "I had such anxiety going to the gym, but as
soon as I left, I felt like, 'Oh my God, I’m OK. I'm human again.'
I just felt so good. But, for those three weeks, I didn't think
about the gym because I was thinking about other things."
