Khloe Kardashian: 'I need to move on from Lamar Odom'
Khloe Kardashian hasn't given up on her dream of having children.
The 31-year-old reality star and her estranged spouse Lamar Odom were open about their desire to conceive prior to their split in 2013 after four years of marriage.
After calling off their divorce following Lamar's hospitalization
last October (15), Khloe set the legal wheels in motion last month
(May16) for the divorce to take place.
And in Sunday night's (12Jun16) episode of Keeping Up With the
Kardashians, which was filmed several months ago, Khloe admitted to
her family that she's keen to move on with her life, including her
dream of falling pregnant.
"I love Lamar with all of my heart and I want the best for him,"
she said. "But now I feel I'm back to it being the hardest thing to
do.
"I want to have kids and maybe to be remarried one day. I need to
move on, and I will be filing for divorce very soon."
Khloe has been a pillar of strength for Lamar since he got out of
hospital, and arranged for him to live in a house nearby so she
could care for him.
But she told her sister Kim earlier in the episode that she was
finding it difficult that no one was asking how she was.
"I need this marriage to end because it's depressing," she sighed.
"No one checks on me... they always check on how Lamar is
doing."
Kim agreed and told the camera in an interview afterward: "Khloe's
missing out on so much of her life, she has so many life decisions
to make."
Khloe always insisted that she intended to get married just once in
her life, and doesn't believe in the word divorce. However, she
confessed in an essay for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter that she
reached a point where she no longer had a choice.
"I've been blessed with a lot in my life, and I've also had
challenges," she wrote. "It was a challenge for me when I decided
to get divorced. At my core, I don't believe in divorce, but I came
to a point in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take
care of my own mental and emotional well-being in order to protect
myself and my happiness."
