Kendall Jenner comforts young fan after paparazzi clash
Model Kendall Jenner helped to console a young fan after he was pushed over in a crowd in New York City.
Kim Kardashian's younger sister was enjoying a day out with her runway pal Gigi Hadid on Tuesday (29Mar16), when they were spotted admiring puppies at a pet store in Manhattan's trendy Chelsea neighborhood.
A large crowd of onlookers and paparazzi gathered outside the store
to catch a glimpse of the models, and as they tried to exit the
shop, those in the scrum began pushing and shoving, and a little
boy was knocked over.
Kendall saw the drama unfold and promptly kneeled down to check on
the kid, and in video footage obtained by TMZ.com, she can be seen
talking to the tot and smiling before taking a photo with him.
The 20-year-old beauty then tried to make her way to a waiting car,
but as she did, she was pictured raising her right arm, appearing
to push one overzealous snapper's camera away from her face as he
got a little too close for comfort.
Kendall, who has regularly expressed her disdain for the paparazzi,
has yet to comment on her latest photographer run-in, but news of
the incident emerges days after she defended herself for apparently
punching another photographer while in Paris in early March
(16).
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who was also accompanied
by Gigi on that occasion, was accused of lashing out at the
cameraman before one of her bodyguards intervened, holding the
girls back as he scolded the shutterbug.
"Even though you know about my anger towards the paparazzi - I
didn't touch him," she wrote in a recent post on her app as she
addressed the Paris encounter. "Gigi, security and I were walking
out together in a conga-line formation. All of a sudden, this
paparazzi (sic) took his camera and started taking pictures right
below my face. It was in my personal space, like centimeters from
my body. I was so annoyed. All I ask for is just a bubble of space
to breathe, and he disrespected that."
"So, I grabbed his camera and pushed it away across my body, sort
of trying to push and pull it out of his hand at the same time,"
she continued. "Of course, that side motion with my arm is why all
of the pictures look like punches were flying. They totally
weren't! I just wanted him and his camera out of my face!"
