Kelly Osbourne launches fitness contest
Kelly Osbourne is launching a fitness contest to help overweight fans get into shape in 2013.
The daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne dropped several dress sizes after competing on reality show Dancing With The Stars in 2009, and she has continued with her healthy diet and exercise regimen.
Now she is teaming up with producers behind U.K. TV show Daybreak
to find three tubby Brits in need of a body makeover.
Osbourne will fly the trio out to Hollywood next year (13) and
introduce them to a team of personal trainers, dole out nutritional
advice, and help them create diet plans.
She says, "There is no quick fix. It's not just about losing
weight. Nothing comes easy. You've got to want it. That's why I
really want people to enter this competition who really do want
this life change. It can be really fun, but at the same time it
sucks! But you've got to learn to like it. I'm not going to torture
anyone, I'm going to make it really fun.
"For me, food became a bit of an emotional thing. I punished myself
with it. But I also was very uneducated about how to eat properly
and what was good for my body and what times of day are appropriate
to eat. It's amazing now that I can share everything that I have
learned with everyone else."
