Kelly Brook opens up about double miscarriage in autobiography

Actress and model Kelly Brook has opened up about her double miscarriage in a candid new autobiography.

In an extract from Close Up, published in Monday's (01Sep14) issue of The Sun, the British stunner breaks her silence about the devastating tragedies when she twice fell pregnant while dating ex-boyfriend Thom Evans.

In her new book, she details the nightmare of her first miscarriage, which began when she woke up in a pool of blood in May, 2011 and found herself in labor.

She writes, "I sat up and immediately my waters broke. I was only six months pregnant - this was not supposed to happen. I called an ambulance and said, 'I think you'd better come'. I was very scared and felt something was seriously wrong."

Brook's baby girl was stillborn hours later.

She recalls, "Thom and I spent a lot of the time crying that week. Ironically, something that had been such a shock and so unplanned had become something we'd both been desperately looking forward to."

Taking her doctor's advice, she and rugby player Evans began trying to conceive again, and when the model fell pregnant a second time weeks later, she kept the baby news secret.

Brook explains, "I got pregnant again. The look on Thom's face said it all. I think he was terrified. It seemed like he was reluctant and given our experience I got that. It was like, 'Here we go again'. And, indeed, we did go again."

The double heartache of two miscarriages eventually drove her and Evans apart - and they called off their engagement.

Brook's big reveal in The Sun comes as her name appears on a list of female stars who have had nude photos stolen from their iPhones and leaked on the Internet.

She joins fellow Brits Jessica Brown Findlay and Cat Deeley, among others, who have fallen victim to an Apple iCloud hacker.
