Kellie Pickler dropped from record label

Kellie Pickler was dealt a blow on her 26th birthday on Thursday (28Jun12) when record label bosses dropped her.
The former American Idol competitor's celebrations were tainted by her departure from Sony Nashville following disappointing sales of her last album, 100 Proof.
Her manager Larry Fitzgerald insists the move was a mutual
decision, telling ABC News Radio, "Kellie's contract with Sony came
to an end, and they mutually decided not to renew."
Pickler refused to acknowledge the bad news on her big day as she
took to Twitter.com to announce, "I'M 26! Birthday girl... Thanks
for all of the Happy Birthday wishes!! I love y'all!"
The Red High Heels hitmaker signed to the label in 2006 after
finishing in sixth place on the talent show.
