Katy Perry on the campaign trail for Barack Obama

Katy Perry has joined the long list of celebrities helping Barack Obama fight for a second term at the White House after signing up to headline a campaign rally in Las Vegas on Wednesday (24Oct12).

The I Kissed a Girl singer will perform at the America Forward event in Sin City.

It will be her second appearance on the campaign trail for Barack Obama - she recently sang at a fundraiser concert in Los Angeles.

Bruce Springsteen has also showed his support for Barack Obama by performing at campaign events in recent days - The Boss made an appearance at rallies in Ohio and Iowa last week (ends19Oct12) and on Tuesday (23Oct12), he'll play a free show with the E Street Band in the swing state of Virginia as part of a get-out-the-vote campaign.
