Katee Sackhoff got permission for topless scene from dad

Actress Katee Sackhoff called her dad to ask his permission to strip off in her new movie.

The Battlestar Galactica star was thrilled when she landed a role opposite Vin Diesel in new film Riddick, but wasn't happy when she learned there would be a topless scene.

She says, "I got the role and then (director) David Twohy had said to me, 'You know the boob is not negotiable,' so I called my dad and asked permission. I was really nervous... I would hate to do something to embarrass him.

"I told him I got the role and he got really excited and then I said, 'There's a three-to-five second side boob push-in, nude...!' He asked, 'Is there a nipple?' and I was like, 'Probably...'"

Sackhoff then called her fiance to give him the heads up, adding, "He was like, 'Listen, you've been doing this for so long, no one is gonna think this is how you got your start. Go for it!'"
