Kardashian family reacts to Bruce Jenner's transition

Footage showing how Kim Kardashian and her family are dealing with Bruce Jenner's transition from male to female aired during a special episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians on Sunday night (17May15).

Jenner, a former Olympic athlete, revealed to newswoman Diane Sawyer, "for all intents and purposes, I'm a woman" during an interview last month (Apr15) and now a two-part special of the reality series, titled About Bruce, has shown how his family is coping with the news.

The episodes, filmed in January (15), feature Kardashian's sisters Khloe and Kourtney, mother Kris and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie as they get emotional discussing his transition, with many of them feeling he was dishonest about it.

Khloe has the hardest time accepting the situation, especially when Jenner reveals he hopes to finish his transition "in the spring" (15) and underwent cosmetic surgeries on his nose and upper lip in secret.

She says, "We were never told that he was going to fully transition and become a woman", and tells her stepfather, "So Bruce is going to be gone within the next 4-5 months?... I don't think it's fair that you don't tell us how close this is in the near future. We're still your kids! I don't care how old I am."

To which he responded, "Sometimes it's easier to talk to people that you don't know about this situation than it is to your kids. I love you, and I'm not going anywhere... I never said Bruce is going to be gone - you guys said it. I'm not going anywhere."

Kim, who has reportedly been the most accepting of the news, tells Bruce in a later scene, "I think what hurts is when we hear things are changing and happening and we don't know about it. We just want to be in the loop."

His ex-wife Kris confesses to the camera, "It's hard for me to just really believe it's happening... I don't know how to handle this. This is my life. I committed to this life and I think that he just backed out... I have memories of this life, and sometimes I feel like it didn't exist."

Kim tweeted along with the episode and wrote, "Watching this back & reliving this is harder than I imagined! I'm happy we opened up & shared our journey" while Khloe wrote, "it's so hard to relive".
