Kaley Cuoco bonded with her horse following divorce

Kaley Cuoco turned to horseback riding following her divorce from tennis ace Ryan Sweeting.

The Big Bang Theory star wed Ryan on New Year's Eve, 2013, after a whirlwind romance, but the couple separated less than two years later in September, 2015.

The split left the 30-year-old devastated and she found solace by riding her horse.

"For a month straight I would talk to my horse and just bawl," she tells WomensHealthMag.com. "Finally I went out and the crying didn't come. I was like, 'I think I actually got through this'."

Following her split from Ryan, Kaley embarked on a new romance with professional equestrian Karl Cook. The pair met when they accidentally "bumped arms" at a horse show, with Kaley recalling the moment as almost a love at first sight scenario by noting, "everything changed" when they looked at each other.

In August (16), she opened up about their romance, explaining they formed a strong connection over their shared love of stallions.

"When you share something so special, some sort of connection - for us, it's horses, but anything two people share - you have that common goal and you know that you want the same things in life, day to day, and in the future," she told People magazine.

"It just sets you on a better path," she continued. "Having a lot in common is really important and we definitely have a lot in common. I think that that's what makes us so strong and really happy."
